January 6th, 2009 at 22:58:55 No no. Cirque du Soleil is not part of Disney, it's an independant company owned by Guy laliberte (however you spell it..) Cirque opened La Nouba in Disneyland Florida - or near it - and some of the profits go to Disney as it's there land. But Cirque is not part of Disney. trust me lol :)

January 7th, 2009 at 23:44:53 I'm almost positive it's not part of Disney. It's a Quebec based circus troupe founded in the '80s and is still based in Quebec. The CEO of Cirque now is Daniel Lamarre, who is Canadian. They do have a show (La Nouba) permanently in the Walt Disney Resort in Florida. The only connection to Disney to Cirque is that Michael Eisner helped fund the theater the show is held in. That's only one show Disney is related to in the fifteen shows Cirque performs.
